During my stay, the staff provided exceptional support, especially during the busy Superman Celebration. The breakfast offered a variety of options, including fruits and pastries, which made mornings enjoyable. I appreciated the newly renovated rooms that enhanced comfort.

However, there were minor inconveniences due to ongoing renovations.

stayed at holiday inn express for two nights and loved that it was pet-friendly! our standard king room was super clean, and the hotel breakfast was pretty good. it’s also located right off the highway, which made our trip to see superman sites so convenient. plus, the fitness room and spa bath were great amenities!

I had a fantastic stay! The whirlpool bath was luxurious, and I appreciated that they allowed my pets. Breakfast was simple yet enjoyable, especially the turkey sausage.

The nearby dining options were fantastic and made our stay very enjoyable.

Unfortunately, there was noticeable noise from the traffic outside which interrupted our sleep.

I had a lovely stay and appreciated how the clerk arranged to move us to a more comfortable room on the lower floor, which made everything easier with my kids. The indoor pool and jacuzzi were perfect for unwinding after a long day. The only downside was the musty smell in the hallway, but overall, it was a great experience! 😊

The hot tub was amazing, and the pool area was clean and inviting. Enjoyed the convenience of USB ports by the bed. The overall vibe was super welcoming. The location was perfect for exploring, right in the heart of everything!

Our stay was fantastic! The King Suite with a jetted tub was a highlight, providing a perfect relaxation spot. The room was very clean and well-maintained, and having the option to bring our dog made our trip even better. The indoor pool was ideal for the kids, keeping them entertained.

I really loved how close this place was to Fort Massac State Park, just under 3 km away, and the Superman Statue, which was a fun stroll of about 4.5 km, making my weekend exploring the city super easy and enjoyable. as a solo traveler, the amenities were decent too, giving me a comfortable stay overall. However, the jetted tub suite was nice, but I expected the tub to be in the room, not the bathroom.

It was just an appropriate option for a weekend breather in Metropolis with best value for money ratio. The waffle machine at breakfast didn’t work, but we still enjoyed the coffee. If you need a clean room, check it thoroughly before settling in.

Staff is awesome!

We had a bit of a rough start switching rooms because of some stink bugs and a hot room, but the staff was really nice and super helpful! Breakfast was solid with a good variety. It’s getting renovated, so a lil noisy at times, but they did their best to keep things chill. The pool was too cold to use, though.

The hotel was newly renovated, bright, and clean—perfect after camping! The beds were heavenly, keeping me cozy all night.

But the noise was louder than a brass band—who needs sleep, right?

The clean, well-maintained room provided a restful retreat after a long day. Service was exceptional. the staff prepared breakfast in to-go containers, showcasing their willingness to adapt during challenging times. Unfortunately, the bathroom had several maintenance issues, like missing caulking around the tub and a lack of cleanliness in the drain, which detracted from the overall experience.

The jacuzzi needed clearer instructions, but the room layout was satisfactory.
